NYC Newborn Session
So in love with all of the family sessions I have been shooting over this past year! There is something so overwhelmingly beautiful about documenting a newly minted family of 3 ❤️ The way these two looked at each other (and their sweet babe) was such a joy to witness… and they just melted into these snuggles 😉 This job, you guys. It truly is the best.
Brooklyn Micro Wedding - Liz + Reza
This is definitely one of those weddings that needs a permanent spot here on our blog! After over a year of living in the midst of a pandemic, I think we were all slowly but surely figuring out how to to – as safely as possible – gather in small groups and celebrate again.
West Village Engagement - Chelsea + Tim
There are some sessions that just feel really… joyful. Due to weather/covid/fillintheblank, we had to reschedule Chelsea + Tim’s engagement session a couple times and so when we finally were able to meet up in person, it almost felt like meeting up with friends I hadn’t seen in ages!!
New York Private Residence Wedding - Megan + Christian
2020. Whew. There are so many layers dig through, but I can say for certain the entire wedding industry was completely flipped upside down. Megan and Christian were one of our first couples to move their spring date to a summer one with the hopes that things would be ‘back to normal’ in a few months… then once we all realized that ‘normal’ wasn’t a word we’d all use for a very long time, they decided to completely switch gears – new date (3rd one stuck!), new (downsized) guest list, new location…. and they did it all with so much grace ❤️
Central Park Engagement Session - Joyce + Jimmy
A beautiful summer morning spent with two equally beautiful humans ❤️
Brooklyn Family Session
And just like that… 3 becomes 4 ❤️ Words can’t describe how much I adore this family and documenting life’s riches moments for them is a gift I’ll never, ever take for granted 🙂
Hasbrouck House Micro Wedding - Danielle + Dylan
What an incredibly beautiful way to celebrate love. Danielle + Dylan had originally planned a large city-based 2020 wedding and decided to go ahead and push it to 2021… a few weeks later, I got an email from them letting me know they decided they still wanted to get married in 2020 and were planning a very intimate wedding up in the Hudson Valley and, you guys, it was honestly the most incredible way to round out such an intense year.
West Village Engagement
Fall in NYC is always pretty fantastic. Fall in NYC in the West Village is basically a movie set 😉
I had the most wonderful afternoon with these two beautiful humans! We just talked endlessly and wandered all around this magical neighborhood and found ourselves on the waterfront just before the sun set for the day ❤️
New York Wedding - Liz and Dan
It’s safe to say 2020 has turned the entire wedding industry upside down and inside out, but I am going to go out on a limb here and say I have actually really, really loved documenting these intimate celebrations (obviously not the reason behind them… but you get the idea) 😉
Central Park Engagement - Aine + Corey
I am not exactly sure how many times I have shot in Central Park (it’s a lot) and I never, ever get tired of it. This piece of the city is such a magical oasis of never ending beautiful backdrops to work with and, depending on the season, can look so different each time!!
Brooklyn Family Session
I always tell our clients their family session should feel like a slice of life… I feel way less interested in a perfectly manicured photo with everyone staring directly at the camera, smiling blankly, with every hair in place. Sure, at first glance it looks nice, but when you look back on that photo in 30 years- or better yet, when your great grandkids look back at that photo in 60 years- it won’t really tell a story (beyond ‘we were in this location one time and brushed our hair before) 😂. I want your photos to take you back to a specific time in your life, imperfections and all, and remind you what it felt like ❤️
Grand Central Engagement - Rachel + Conor
This was one of my first sessions since early March (thanks to covid) and I was admittedly a little nervous. It felt like since I had last photographed a couple in love, our whole world had shifted and I was anxious to be out and about in the city again… at the exact same time I was really EXCITED.
Central Park Engagement - Lauren + Matt
Such a beautiful Fall evening spent in Central Park with these two! Like so many other couples, Lauren + Matt have had to reschedule their 2020 wedding to 2021 due to the coronavirus and they couldn’t have been more gracious during the process… While this has been a difficult season for all of us (to put it lightly), I have become more and more thankful for the lovely people we work with.
Intimate NYC Wedding - Lena + Haig
This was a seriously dreamy day. Lena and Haig, along with their immediate families and a few very close friends (who might as well be family) celebrated their union on a warm, late summer evening and it was such a joy to document!!
Micro Wedding Inspiration at The Foundry
What an honor to have been invited along to participate in Ruffled Blog’s NYC Styled Social at The Foundry!! This was basically a photographers dream with 3 magical (and very different) set up’s all created by the talented teams behind Ruffled, Michelle Elaine Weddings, and Designs by Ahn (full vendor list below!).
Dumbo Loft Wedding - Cate + Bryan
Can we just do this day over and over and over again please!?? Cate + Bryan were married on a FREEZING Fall day, but the whole experience felt so, well, WARM 😉 These two were as lovely as can be from the second they first contacted me and that kind nature has continued well past their wedding…
Central Park Engagement - Adrienne + Peter
This classic Central Park engagement session took place in the middle of Winter, but you never would have known with the ease in which Adrienne + Peter handled the cold temps!! We had the most incredible time wandering through the fairly quiet park and I was so excited to see these two dressed in formalwear when we arrived! Adrienne’s etherial gown worked perfectly with the neutral palette of the park this time of year and Peter’s tux was so sharp!!
NYC City Hall Wedding- Natalie + Diego
You guys. Before this day I hadn’t shot an NYC City Hall wedding in YEARS and now it’s basically all I want to do!! Natalie + Diego were having a large destination wedding, but wanted to make their union official in NYC with their immediate families and I was so incredibly honored to be on hand to document all the love… These two had known each other since they were kids and had the sweetest, most loving connection!
Wave Hill Wedding- Amanda + Eric
I am fully aware that I am sounding like a broken record at this point, but WE WORK WITH THE BEST PEOPLE ON THE PLANET. I only first met Amanda and Eric in person on the day of their wedding, but you never would’ve known as we all jumped right into hugs and easy conversation! Their wedding was on (I am pretty sure, literally) the hottest recorded day of 2019 and they handled the heat and humidity with so much grace…
Dumbo Family Session
Well now, this might very well be the cutest family in all the land!!! This was a PACKED evening on the Dumbo waterfront, but we found little pockets of calm and some of the yummiest golden light. The whole session was such a dream- this crew was stylish, easy going, snuggly, and just SO in love with their newest little family member ❤️
