  • Not at all! I thrive off of human connection, light, texture, color, and finding beauty in the mundane. Photography is an absolute passion of mine. Along with celebrations of love, I photograph families, travel, interiors, portraits, and food. 

  • I’ve had a camera in hand since 2002! I have been shooting weddings since 2005 (as an associate) and started my own company in 2011… so a long time ;)

  • Yes! I received my BFA in photography from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I am an art/photo nerd through and through.

  • Absolutely. In fact, I encourage this! Always ask to see full galleries when possible. It’s easy for anyone to put a few lovely images on social media, but you want to make sure a full day can be captured beautifully from start to finish!

  • Yes! An engagement session is actually complimentary for our wedding clients!

  • We currently only provide still photography services, but are more than happy to recommend a handful of videographers we love working with.

  • Hopefully not more than 20. I want to make sure I am able to be present throughout the process with you, so never book more than I can handle!

  • I do!

  • This sort of depends. I’ll often shoot off 2-3 rolls throughout a wedding day and maybe 1 during your family session. That being said, I have had folks request more film and some folks who prefer digital. I am pretty free flowing with this and will get a feel for what the day calls for and will communicate beforehand to make sure we’re on the same page!

Wedding Day related questions

  • Amazing! After we make sure we’re a good fit for one another, I’ll send over a short questionnaire with the info I will need to get your contract together. Once I have your contract signed and your 50% retainer received, the date is yours!

  • To be fair to everyone, I can only secure a date with a signed contract and retainer. However, I will provide a soft hold for dates on a first come first serve basis. If you have expressed interest in working together, I will definitely let you know if someone else has inquired about the same date! 

  • Depending on where your wedding is taking place, we will ask for airfare or a gas/mileage fee, hotel stay, and per diem. There is no ‘fee’ beyond that! We love to travel so try to make it as easy as possible on your end ;) 

  • No (and also yes) ;) If you decide to move forward with us, there is quite a bit of communication leading up to your wedding and part of that is a questionnaire I send over along with a sample ‘formal shot list’- this really is just a (very) short and sweet list of groupings you want to make sure we capture throughout the day. Otherwise, no shot list is needed! We have been doing this for a long time and know how to anticipate moments and will definitely communicate with you beforehand so we’re aware of your priorities! 

  • YES! I have been so very lucky to work with some of the best vendors in this industry and am always happy to pass their info along. Just ask!! 

  • If your wedding is over 50 people, then yes! I am able to document smaller celebrations on my own, but will always have an associate with me otherwise. This allows us to (literally) be in two places at once throughout your day! 

  • Yes! Travel is a passion of mine and my passport is always up to date and ready to roll.

Post Production

  • Nope. Between our digital and film cameras, we end up with thousands of images at the end of a day! We’ll cull them down to the strongest photos (ie- you won’t see mid bite, eyes closed, quadruple chin shots). Part of my job is to meticulously curate your collection and tell the story of your day beautifully.

  • Yes! You are welcome to order prints directly from your online gallery! If you are interested in getting an album made, let me know and I’ll send over pricing info.

  • All images you receive will be given some love and individual attention. After being culled and lightly adjusted in one program, I actually open each image in photoshop and do minor retouching (think blemish removal, not compositing heads on different bodies). All images shown on our website, blog, social media are exactly as they were delivered to our couples. My goal is for your gallery to be complete. You should be able to print any image from your collection and hang it on your wall!

  • Yes… and no. Please keep in mind, I am very intentional with the way I edit your photos and if an image is in color or bw, I felt it was stronger that way. With that being said, I totally understand if you’re just aching to see a favorite image switched over… a few photos are fine, but anything beyond that we’d need to discuss. It isn’t just a click of a button (like it is on our phones!). It does take time to adjust each image. As far as additional retouching is concerned, most people don’t request this! We do our very best to make sure each photo delivered is complete. However, if you are hoping for something more to be done, let me know and I can price it out for you. All this being said, I will not change body composition. We are all beautiful and I celebrate all shapes and sizes. Full stop.

  • Nope. These are actually unfinished images that most people wouldn’t even be able to access without the proper computer program.  More importantly, we are hired for a specific look and the raw files would not represent that.

  • For engagement sessions, we ask for up to 6 weeks. For weddings, we ask for up to 12-14 weeks. A delivery date will be in your contract, however I always do what I can to have your galleries completed before then! Keep in mind, these images are precious and not something to be rushed.  Once completed, your full collection will be delivered on a password protected and downloadable online gallery.

  • This obviously varies as each day is unique (time we’re with you, details, size of wedding/family, priorities, etc) but you can expect around 1000ish for weddings and 150ish for engagement/family sessions. My goal is to tell the story of your day, not land on a specific number of images…
